DELAMS MATCHMAKER v2.6 - COMPATIBILITY AND DOWNLOAD NOTES

INSTALL
Close rFactor, extract the ZIP, and run Install Update.bat.
Choose 1 for Player, then select the main folder containing rFactor.exe.
Choose 2 for Dedicated Server; no player executable is required.
Read the results. Restart dedicated servers only when convenient.
Keep existing game/query firewall and router forwarding rules.

COMPATIBILITY
For the original rFactor 1 on Windows, not rFactor 2.
Matchmaking and news patching are checked independently.
News accepts the verified original executable with SHA-256:

Unsupported executables remain unchanged; NEWS NOT INSTALLED is reported.
The organiser has confirmed outside-player and outside-server tests, including
user-reported success with rFactor Latam 2026. This does not establish news
patching support for every custom executable.

CHANGES / UNDO
Updates the Windows hosts mapping for match.rfactor.net to the VPS endpoint.
For a supported player game, updates the executable's news address/download
trigger, retaining a verified original backup. Old supported news patches
migrate automatically. No game EXE is distributed, mods/profiles stay unchanged.
Keep the .delams-news-original and .delams-news.json files beside the game.
Undo News.bat restores the original executable. Undo Matchmaker.bat restores
mappings changed by this release, retaining unrelated entries.
Read the ZIP's README for details of earlier and skipped updates.

v2.6 connects matchmaking, chat and news through the VPS gateway.
Normal restarts do not require updates; future endpoint changes still may.
Outside server owners remain responsible for their own game connectivity.
Reopen rFactor and view News/Info before selecting a server.
The ZIP includes historical pre-deployment notes; live service tests have
subsequently been confirmed by the organiser.
